Curious about the Photographer?
Hi! I'm Ron, the face behind Lighting Moments Photography.
I have explored many styles of photography over the past eight years, but whether I am shooting in beautiful natural light or vibrant event lighting, I will always gravitate toward working with people because there is nothing better than seeing someone genuinely smile at a photo of themselves.
I originally fell in love with photography because of a simple concept: the ability to freeze a single moment in time. There is something magical about taking a fleeting second, whether it is a candid laugh, a shared glance, or a beautiful afternoon, and capturing it so it lives on long after the moment has passed.
Based right here in the Chicago area, I specialize in on-location family and event photography to do exactly that. I want to give you more than just a picture; I want to create a visual time capsule. Years or even decades into the future, I want you to be able to look back at these photos and instantly remember exactly how that season of your life felt.
By chasing the best light and letting you be present in the moment, my goal is to freeze the chaotic, joyful, and quiet moments exactly as they happen, creating images that authentically tell your story.
Location & Craft
Whether we are shooting against the stunning skyline at Lincoln Park or catching the golden hour through the prairie grass at Montrose Harbor, I help you choose the perfect backdrop to tell your story.
Also, I know that being in front of a camera can feel intimidating, especially if you aren't used to posing. During portrait sessions, I use a guided approach with gentle prompts and easy poses so you never wonder what to do with your hands. When I am photographing an event, I focus on capturing the authentic moments and energy without interrupting the flow of the day. Whether we are taking a relaxed walk through the city or celebrating a major milestone, I want the entire experience to feel natural and effortless.
My goal is to capture the chaotic, joyful, and quiet moments exactly as they happen, creating images that actually feel like you.
